Birds of Sao Paulo city, Brazil

 Aramides saracura2-JdBotanicoSP-BR-30-6-15-ASilveira

Here is a basic Birdlist for São Paulo city with the aim of helping the birdwatcher in his visit in municipal parks of São Paulo city.

The bests places to birding in Sao Paulo city are: Ibirapuera Park, São Paulo Botanical Garden, Butantan Institute and Cantareira State Park.

Where we make our observation in recent years.

The city of São Paulo is the capital of the state of Sao Paulo, and is located in southeastern Brazil.

This city in the metropolitan area has 20 million people. Beside this, there are many natural areas, such as Cantareira State Park, with 8,000 ha (about 16,000 acres). It is considered the largest urban forest in the world. Much of its area is in this city.

But there are several other green areas in the city where you can observe birds.. by Antonio Silveira.
