Definition

    Brazilian law defines pollution as “the degradation of environmental quality, resultant of activity that directly or indirectly:
    a) damage the population’s health, security and well-being;
    b) create adverse conditions to social and economical activities;
    c) affect the biota in a unfavorable way;
    d) affect the esthetic or sanitary conditions of the environment;
    e) throw things or energy discording to the established as environmental standard.

    Pollution has a lot of sources, from which we can emphasize:
    - drain;
    - solid residues;
    - industrial residues and emission;
    - radioactive garbage;
    - agrotoxics;
    - mineral extraction and treatment;
    - cars.
