Spacial Environment

Introduction

As the environmental consciouss grows, environment have been divided into: physical environment, natural environment, cultural environment and work environment.

And the environment out of the Earth? Could it be classified?

The answer is affirmative, because the extraterrestrial or the spatial environment has a direct relation to the environment of the heavenly body, as the planets, because the distemper of the spatial environment can bring disastrous consequences to Earth life.

Evidently that the power that manage the stars are out of human control, but in relation to the spacial environment near the Earth, human can have the responsability for some damage, as with the increasing of spatial exploration there is a lot of "spatial garbage" turning around our planet, putting under risk our cities and also natural and rural areas, because the fall of one of these objects may cause damage to our cities and/or people or animals that get in contact with them, because of the radioactivity that can exist in some cases. There still exists NASA and the UN's office for exterior space subjects preocuppation about spatial remains, more exactly the spatial garbage, that can put in danger the spaceships amd artificial satellites, because of the possibility of collisions.

There still is a growing preocuppation with the way that we are exploring space, getting nooticed that the garbage that is left on the explorations can be dangerous.

So we understand that the spatial environment question must be thought as an environmental problem and the spatial environment conception, its importance and the necessity of preserving it is a current subject, that deserve the countries' attention, mainly the ones that have been investing capital in and also exploring it.

    Spatial Exploration

    The spatial explorations have been carried out some decades and have started by the sent of spatial sounding-leads, that were not tripulated, and after the spatial stations have appeared.

    The sounding-leads were sent by rockets that used to leave much spatial garbage, as only some pieces of the spaceships were recuperated. After that the tripulated flights started.

    Spatial sounding-leads: non-tripulated spaceships that have as objective studies and sicentific experimentations, and most of them don't return to the Earth, being lost in the space after mission is done.

     Atificial satellites: spatial object of great technology used for communication, weather forescast etc. They turn around the Earth or just stay stopped. A lot of them can be seen without a telescope, mainly at night, when they pass shining as a star.

      Space Stations: enormous spaceships that are permanently at the space and are used by astronauts that are sent by the Space Buses. They are big scientific researches laboratories, because they are always collecting much information and sending them to the basis on the Earth.

        Space Buses: spatial vehicle that have as finallity taking astronauts and scientific equipment for spatial trips, as also for carrying the astronauts from and to the spatial stations. These vehicules are different from the another ones, because when they are back to the Earth they arrive as an airplane, and so they are reusable for new trips, maybe reaching a total of 100 trips.

    Main agreements and Conventions

    - "Cosmic Space Agreement" adooted by the UN in December, 12nd, 1966

    - Convention about International Responsability by Spatial Objects Damage, from March, 20th, 1972, stablishing the objective responsability by the damage caused at the space.

    Curiosities about the subject

    - In 1961, the Russian Yuri Gagarin was the first man to be put on the Earth orbit;

    - In July, 20th, 1969, Apollo-11 spaceship has arrived to the Moon and Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin had gone down and walked on the Moon's floor, in one of the biggest humanitie's conquests. The facts were on the TVs of almost all of the world;

    - Since 1998 the International Spatial Station have been constructed, and it may be finished in 2006, in a project developed by 16 countries;

    - Spatial sounding-leads are on the way and/or visiting some planets from our solar system, supplying imensurable information;

    - 2003: The  WMA- Wikinson Microwar Anisotropy Probe spatial sounding-lead, which is in orbit for a million and a half kilometers from the Earth and that has as a mission mapping the Universe, obtained photos that show the Universe as being around 13,700 million years.

     Main spaceships accidents:

        - 1967 : Apollo-1 spaceshiop was on fire. Three astronauts were dead;

        - 1967: Soyuz-1 spaceship, when returning to the Earth had a problem with its paraglyders that didn't work. Its only astronaut was dead.

        - 1970: with the explosion of a fuel tank in the Apollo-13 spaceship, it had to come back to the Earth. The astronauts were unjuried.

        - 1986: the seven tripulants of Challenger space ship were dead, after an explosion just seconds after its launch.

        - 2003: the Space Bus Columbia has exploded when returning to the Earth, and the tripulant were dead.
