Concept
Etology is the science that study animals behavior.
So, etology is a behavior research science, in a way that the
etologist needs a lot of patience, because their studies requires
observation.
The observation ca be:
-
when the animal is in captivity;
-
when animal is in nature.
As
captivity animal suffer a lot of stress, its behavior may have influence
of behavior distorcion because of the degree of “mental commotion”.
On
the other hand, when the animal is free in nature, in its natural habitat,
its bevavior is original, just influenced by the instincts and environment
conditions, furnishing to the etologist a more real research field.
Etology
involves behavior studies, animal instinct, knowledge, language, species’
behavior standard etc.
