Definition
Etnobotany is the science that studies and interpretates the history and the relation of plants in antique and actual societies.
By this science it is possible knowing societies, its cultures and
even creating subsidies for the recuperation of their histories.
It is a truly relation between plants and men, emphasizing many
branches of human knowledge, among them history, anthropology, botany,
ecology etc.
Etnobotany uses and gives value to peoples traditional knowledge
and in a lot of views possible the understanding of their cultures, as
also the practical use of plants.
It is a truly scientific investigation using empiric traditional
knowledge in pro of life quality improvement, not only of men, but as also
of the environment, because with the knowledge of useful properties in
anthropological terms, there is plants conservation as a consequence.
So, it is not possible reducing in just a catalogue of medicinal
plants and in the study of their properties, but in a science much bigger,
as said before.

value knowledge and communities traditional
Medicine;
-
