Introduction

      Because of the increasing environmental degradation that is endangering natural areas, we have decided to do this work, compiling information about the most representative Brazilian ecosystems with the finality of collaborating with the knowledge of our rich flora and fauna and consequently provide environmental education with the specific finality of preserving our natural heritage.
    Also considering the educational-philanthropic spirit and of directing the content of our pages to people whom like to know and observe nature, this work, as the another ones developed in this site, does not have any scientific pretension and neither wanting to teach those who are specialists in the area.
    Almost everyday we know by the means of communication about a lot of degradatory acts against nature. There are ecological disasters, burnings, illegal constructions and some other things destructing natural areas, so the importance of knowing ecosystems, for trying to protect them.
